Trump to Halt US Funding for WHO, Following a Precedent Set by President Carter

President Trump announced Tuesday that the US is placing a hold on funding to the World Health Organization over its handing of the coronavirus pandemic.
It’s little wonder that the Trump administration isn’t keen on continuing around $500 million in annual taxpayer aid to a corrupt organization that can’t keep its numbers straight. Trump’s decision to withhold aid from an unaccountable international bureaucracy may stem from an unlikely source of inspiration: President Jimmy Carter.
