Samuel Adams: The Truth is All Might be Free

“The truth is,” Samuel Adams once wrote, “all might be free if they valued freedom, and defended it as they ought.”

The more I reflect on this great quote from the “Father of the American Revolution,” the more I think it almost perfectly sums up our work here at the TAC.

We take a two-phase approach in our stand for the Constitution and liberty. First, we work to educate people on the proper role of government under the Constitution. And equally, if not more, importantly, we work to take action that advances the Founders’ vision in concrete and practical ways.

But, we’re under no delusions here.

What we face – the most powerful government in the history of the world – is not something that will give way easily.

As Thomas Jefferson put it, “we are not to expect to be translated from despotism to liberty, in a feather-bed.”

No matter what the odds – and we truly face a David vs Goliath situation here – we believe it’s essential to do what’s right.  As the old saying goes, “Duty is ours…”

And for us at the TAC, that duty is pretty clear. It’s the Constitution: Every issue, every time. No exceptions, no excuses.

We couldn’t be more grateful for your support.
