On today’s episode of Felony Friday John is joined by Melisha Johnson. Melisha did over 10 years in prison for wire fraud. She was arrested in 2010 and sentenced to 144 months. On November 18th she was released to home confinement due to the Cares Act. Melisha will be the first to admit that she made a mistake and deserved to be punished, but serving more than tens years in prison far exceeds what should be considered a fair punishment for the crime she committed. Like so many past guests Melisha has exposed that the justice system is not about justice and reform, it’s about control and extortion.
