Antwan Ruffin, a security officer at Florida’s Horace Mann Middle School, has been charged with child abuse and battery after punching a student who refused to go to class. Cellphone video, which begins after the incident has started, shows Ruffin yelling at the student. “Try me. Let me tell you something,” Ruffin said. “This hallway, I run. When that bell rings, you in my hallway.” The boy responds by saying, “yo,” causing Ruffin to move closer. Ruffin asks the boy if he wants a phone to call then punches him in the chest.
