Republicans are poised to take control of the Virginia House of Delegates after flipping several seats in the state’s election on Tuesday.

The party is on track to pick up seven seats in the state’s House, ending the Democratic majority the party won in 2019, according to unofficial results from the Virginia Public Access Project. If current leads hold, Republicans will outnumber Democrats in the state’s House 52 to 48.
