From California to Texas to the Midwest, the WSJ spoke to grid operators warning that conditions are ripe for power outages as plants pivot to more renewable energy sources.

“I am concerned about it,” MISO CEO John Bear told the Journal in an article exploring rising energy demands. “As we move forward, we need to know that when you put a solar panel or a wind turbine up, it’s not the same as a thermal resource.”
