I recently appeared on the Battle Born Podcast hosted by the Libertarian Party of Nevada to talk about the Tenth Amendment as a tool for decentralization.
We discussed how states can stand up to overreaching federal power on issues ranging from the drug war, to federal gun control, to government surveillance. As just one example, I explained how Nevada shut down a federal effort to put a nuclear waste dump on Yucca Mountain by refusing to supply federal contractors with water.
The post Turn It Off and Shut It Down: States Pushing Back Against Overreaching Federal Power first appeared on Tenth Amendment Center.
The Tenth Amendment Center works to preserve and protect Tenth Amendment freedoms through information and education. The center serves as a forum for the study and exploration of state and individual sovereignty issues, focusing primarily on the decentralization of federal government power.
