“Rare” Video Shows Russian Su-34 Firing Missile During Ground Test
A rare video of a Russian Sukhoi Su-34 attack aircraft conducting a ground missile test has surfaced on the internet, reported The Aviationist.
The video was filmed at the Russian State Governmental Scientific-Testing Area of Aircraft Systems (GkNIPAS FKP) site located southeast of Moscow. The Su-34 is seen firing an S-25 Berkut, a surface-to-air guided missile, on the ground with the plane’s landing gear extended. The Aviationist says this video is “rare” because surface-to-air missiles aren’t normally tested on the ground.
“I honestly can’t remember of similar tests on other aircraft (but I may well be wrong, in such case please leave a comment or point me to a video that I would be glad to see). Usually, gun testing and calibrations are carried out with aircraft on the ground (hence with extended landing gear).”

Russia has published unique military videos in the past. The latest was a hypersonic missile test in January, where Russian President Vladimir Putin supervised off the coast of Crimea. It included the launch of Kalibr cruise missiles and Kinzhal hypersonic air-launched missiles.
Here’s a video of the hypersonic missile launch:

Last summer, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation published an impressive video showing its new hypersonic interceptor missile in action:

Russia and the US are locked in a new arms race. President Trump has plowed nearly $2 trillion into the military over his first term. Both countries are routinely showing off videos of how their weapons can utterly obliterate the enemy. The march towards conflict continues…
