On today’s episode of Felony Friday Rick Schwetz joins the show. Rick reached out a few weeks ago in order to advocate for his friend Eddie McDevitt, who is serving life in prison for a tragedy resulting from a bar fight. In 1983, Eddie got into a fight with a former cop, the cop died. Eddie was charged with capital murder and ended up with life in prison. Eddie should have been free 31 years ago. If he fought a barber or a taxi driver, he would have been out of prison long ago.
Rick did time with Eddie and says he saved his life while in prison. Rick did 5 years for a drug conspiracy charge. He made it clear that the reason he wanted to come on the show was to advocate for Eddie.
