Front Line COVID-19 Critical Care Alliance, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to developing treatment protocols for COVID-19, has started migrating its video library to the blockchain-based video sharing platform Odysee after YouTube took down one of its recent videos.

“YouTube took down another of our videos today,” Front Line COVID-19 Critical Care Alliance tweeted. “The good news? Our videos have taken up permanent, uncensored residence in a much more hospitable neighborhood. We’re at the corner of @OdyseeTeam Trail & Free Speech Lane…next to the Right to Know Cafe.”

Odysee welcomed Front Line COVID-19 Critical Care Alliance to the platform and tweeted that it’s proud to be hosting their videos.

Front Line COVID-19 Critical Care Alliance joined YouTube in January and quickly racked up more than 29,000 subscribers in just a few months by posting testimonies, data, and information on COVID treatments. Several of their YouTube videos have more than 100,000 total views.

However, YouTube has consistently censored Front Line COVID-19 Critical Care Alliance’s videos and accused the non-profit of posting “medical misinformation.”

Since making the switch to Odysee, multiple videos from Front Line COVID-19 Critical Care Alliance have racked up tens of thousands of views.

Front Line COVID-19 Critical Care Alliance is the latest of several channels to switch to Odysee in response to YouTube’s mounting censorship of discussions about lockdowns, masks, vaccines that don’t conform to the narrative that’s prescribed by the World Health Organization (WHO).

Some of the other creators to embrace Odysee in recent months include biologist and DarkHorse Podcast host Bret Weinstein and Atajurt Kazakh Human Rights, a rights group that covers Xinjiang internment camps.

While YouTube has expanded its censorship rules during the pandemic, Odysee has adopted a “welcoming stance to creators of all beliefs and persuasions.” The underlying LBRY blockchain that Odysee is built on also adds an extra layer of censorship-resistance to any videos that are posted to the platform.

Front Line COVID-19 Critical Care Alliance’s move to Odysee follows the platform recently announcing that it now has 10 million weekly video plays and one million channels have been created.

Odysee has rolled out numerous new features this year including playlists, hyperchats (a feature that lets viewers tip creators during live streams and have their comments pinned to the top of the live chat), and support for Really Simple Syndication (RSS).
