The United States Justice Department announced Monday that it will “provide support from federal law enforcement” to any Texas abortion clinic facing an “attack” under the state’s new Heartbeat Act.
“We have reached out to U.S. Attorneys’ Offices and FBI field offices in Texas and across the country to discuss our enforcement authorities,” Attorney General Merrick B. Garland said.
