Students Urged By Elite Private School To Protest Law Banning Sex Orientation Lessons: REPORT

A school bulletin board for a Rhode Island private school encouraged students to write letters to politicians expressing opposition to what administrators called the state’s own version of Florida’s “Don’t Say Gay” bill, according to a report from Parents Defending Education.

The Daily Information Board (DIB) administered by school officials at Moses Brown School (MB) in Providence, Rhode Island reported;y urged upper school students to write letters to state representatives, senators and Democratic Gov. Daniel McKee lobbying against proposed House Bill 7539, according to flyers obtained by Parents Defending Education (PDE). The DIB reportedly proclaimed “Florida Is Not The Only State Proposing A ‘Don’t Say Gay’ Bill,” and encouraged students to show their “allyship for the MB LGBTQ+ community” by writing letters following templates the school provided to students.
